Okay doke. I can barely contain my joy, but just a few days
ago, I sold a young adult paranormal book on the Salem Witch Trials! (More on
that some other time. It’s still kinda top secret.) Since I’ve worn a Stetson
ever since my first book years ago and think I’ve developed a Western brand, I
gotta decide: do I stick with this ole’ moniker or pick something diff for this
new venture? (There’s talk it could be a series.)
What do you think?
While you’re thinking on it, I’ll mention Redeeming Daisy,
Book Two in my Hearts Crossing Ranch series at Pelican Book Group. This story
has its roots in the loss of our own precious black Lab...
Veterinarian rancher Pike
Martin has no choice but to advise putting down Daisy Denmore’s fatally ill
dog, but she swears it's revenge for her mistreatment of Pike's brother years
ago. Although stung by her insult at his professionalism, Pike finds himself
drawn to the troubled woman who flounders in faith and aches for love and
acceptance.
Costly mistakes have sent Daisy down an unrighteous path. Abandoned by her ex-husband, humiliated and broke, she has no choice but to return to her parents’ home in Mountain Cove, Colorado. As soon as she saves enough money, though, she'll be gone. Until Pike Martin's soft voice, caring manner, and downright empathy for her wounds tempt her to stay.
With God on his side, can Pike help Daisy along the path to forgiveness, trust, and whole-hearted love?
Before I sign off, I’ve got
to ask the bigger question--wait for it. Then leave a comment and your e-mail
addy...I’ll be picking one commenter from all my posts today to receive Books One-Four of my Hearts Crossing Ranch series!
Here goes: If you could
rename yourself, what name would YOU choose?

Oh, you're paranormal sounds wonderful!! Best of luck!
If I could rename myself it would be something like Ann. After years of people misspelling, mispronouncing and slaughtering my name, I want something simple. :o)

Hi Kirsten, so glad you could stop by.
I so agree with you. I've had a name slaughtered for my whole life. To make it even more fun, it's a family name and there are other. I always wanted to be Linda. Nice, plain, easy to spell and pronounce!
Hi, Tanya! I gave this question a great deal of thought when I was younger because I have a very unusual name (Fedora), and as a kid, to be honest, I hated it ;p I could never find it on a personalized anything (pencil, notepad, mini license plate...you name it!) and people were always misspelling it and mishearing it. I always wanted a cute, classic name with lots of nickname possibilities--something like Victoria or Cassandra or Catherine or Elizabeth :) I've come to appreciate my name now, but it's taken a while ;)
Thanks for the introduction to your writing!

Hi Fedora, I did some to peace with my name myself, but yeah, as a kid I do wanted something "normal." I remember whenever names had to be read the first day of class or an awards ceremony or something, I'd just cringe because people would just massacre it!
Thanks for posting these days. I'm going in reverse right now, so in "later" blogs that I hit earlier, I didn't realize your first name. Enjoyed meeting you, too
