I’m a sucker for holidays such as Valentine’s Day. It’s a great time to reach out to those who matter in your life with a little surprise. Today, I’m packaging up presents for friends, and one for a secret pal.
One girlfriend from college underwent surgery last November – before the holidays – and she’s still undergoing physical therapy. With two small children (under the age of 3), it’s only natural to get a bit low at times. So, in the mail goes a Sees Dark Chocolate bar, wrapped in a hearts-covered bag.
Another friend is dealing with her mother being ill. On Facebook recently, she teased about having some of the mini Snicker’s bars that I was eating. Guess what she’s getting as a surprise?
Finally, there’s the writer I’m secret pals with … I can’t really say what she’s getting, except that it’s something to inspire writing and creativity.
Finally, there are the goodie bags for my daughters’ classes. They’re asked to bring in cards to exchange, but we’re going to put together some little candy-filled treats (I’m sure the other parents will love us.) That said, it’s a great feeling to sit on the floor, and stuff the bags with my daughters – 24 for one classroom, and a whopping 38 for another. Now, that’s a lot of love.
So, who are you spreading the love for this year? And, what types of treats would you like to be surprised with?

I cant say I'm spreading much love to anyone but my husband and kids. We really don't "do" Valentine's day because our wedding anniversary is on the 17th. Treats of any kind go well here whether its candy, flowers, jewelry, and even video games! I prefer the jewelry and video games to the candy and flowers though...lol
