We’re two weeks into the New Year and I can’t believe how fast the time is going. Christmas seems like it was so long ago. The celebrations, the baking, the decorations and shopping…they’re all little more than a dream.
Time moves forward and the New Year is a time for new beginnings. Many folks make resolutions this time of year. They mostly have to do with changing bad habits. A perennial favorite is losing weight. I know, I promise myself each year that I will get more exercise and eat better. This year is no different. Is it working? Well, let’s just say I’m a work in progress and leave it at that. :)
This year I promised myself I’d make time to be more creative. Writing has taken over my life and all my other hobbies have slipped away. That’s not good. As much as I love writing, I have to recharge by doing other things.
So this year’s resolutions were all about balance. About taking time to work, to play, to exercise and to allow myself more time for other creative pursuits. Only time will tell how that will work out. But I’m hopeful.
And speaking of new beginnings, I have a new book releasing today from Ellora’s Cave Publishing. Tracking Talia is a story about two wounded people trying to start over.
BLURB:
Marshall Courage is lucky to be alive after the last mission for the clandestine government agency he worked for went sour. He’s recovered from his life-threatening wounds and is living on the family ranch, but he’s never gotten over his fellow operative and lover, Talia Koslov.
It’s been eight long months since Talia’s seen Marshall and she’s missed him every single moment. Now all she has to do is convince him that she didn’t willingly abandon him after he was injured. She wants forever and is willing to do whatever it takes to convince him their love is real.
These two former lovers are starting over again on unfamiliar ground. Only time will tell if their love will survive and they’ll be able to start over. This book is a companion to Tempting Tori and Lassoing Lara (two more Quickies about the Courage brothers of Texas), but it is a stand-alone read.
Check out Tracking Talia at http://www.ellorascave.com and good luck with all your New Year’s resolutions. It’s a new year. Don’t be afraid to start over and make a new beginning. It’s never too late!
N.J. has always been a voracious reader, and now she spends her days writing novels of her own. Vampires, dragons, time-travelers, seductive handymen, and next-door neighbors with smoldering good looks—all vie for her attention. It’s a tough life, but someone’s got to live it.
