I have a book coming out in March called Anything You Want (March 15th, Samhain). It’s a fun, sexy contemporary romance with some heart. I really love this book, but I’ll tell you—the heroine gave me some headaches. Sabrina is… well… flawed. She’s sweet, she’s sassy, she’s smart. But she’s made a few mistakes. Some big ones. In fact, I had some worries about her. Would readers like her? Would they forgive her for her mistakes? Would they believe that she can make good choices? Because she’s not so sure ;).
Then comes probably the biggest choice she’s ever going to have to make— between two guys. Should she marry the guy who’s always been there for her, who wants to take care of her, who’s loved her for years? Or go for the guy who turns her on more than anyone ever has—and who hasn’t really liked her all that much in the past?
It’s tricky when you throw two great guys into the mix. Luke, the guy who would do anything for her, is handsome, smart, good hearted… definite hero material. Her head tells her that Luke is the perfect guy, the one she should be with. Besides, he’s asked her to marry him. Twice.
But then there’s Marc. Marc is also handsome, smart, good hearted. In addition, he makes her heart pound and her body tingle. The catch? He doesn’t like her. Or at least, he hasn’t in the past. But even he can’t deny their chemistry.
Since I don’t write ménage stories, eventually she has to make a choice. It’s the right one. It is. But it was tough getting there—on all of us! :) I really like both guys and it was hard for me to break one of their hearts. Now I just have to hope you all come to love Sabrina as much as I do!
So do you like stories where the girl has to pick between two guys? Where two guys are competing for her heart? And do you forgive her for breaking one’s heart when she finally makes her choice?
