Holiday Fiction

As a reader and a writer I enjoy holiday fiction about new characters as well as favorite characters from the past. Even if I’m not in the holiday spirit, reading a holiday themed story often gets me there. Lovers finding each other and going through squabbles, setbacks and adventures to be rewarded with their happily ever after during the holiday season inspires warm feelings and the desire to join in the holiday festivities.

As a writer I enjoy revisiting some of my characters with short and spicy holiday stories. Holiday in Hornview, Reindeer on Red Satin and Yule Tydisian are free holiday stories available on my website. They feature characters from my Horsemen, Ancient Blood and Alien Affairs series.

What’s on my reading list this year? Disturbing the Yuletide by Nevea Lane, Ginger Snap by Shoshanna Evers, Under a Falling Star by Fabian Black, and Sugarplum: Mutts by Sarah Black.

Are you reading holiday themed stories this year? What are some of your favorites?

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season and a fantastic 2011!

About Kate Hill

What do trips around the world, endless nights of breathtaking sex, and a muscular, 6-foot 3-inch, brown-haired, blue-eyed significant other have to do with Kate Hill? Absolutely nothing, but she can dream, can't she? In reality Kate is a single, thirty-something vegetarian New Englander who loves writing romantic fantasies.

Currently, she might not be traveling around the world, but Kate has visited Europe and Africa and those beautiful places have been wonderful inspiration for her writing. While working at various times as a clerk, assistant karate instructor, house painter and banker, Kate dreamed of being an author. In 1996 her first short story was accepted for publication and since then she has sold over ninety short stories, novellas and novels.

When she's not working on her books, Kate enjoys reading, working out, and researching vampires and Viking history. Visit Kate online at http://www.kate-hill.com.
