I’m here today to introduce everyone to three very sexy angel heroes. Two of them already have their stories out as ebooks at all major distributors, and the third will have his story released on November 20th. These gorgeous guys are all part of my hot new paranormal angel romance series, Her Angel.
Here’s the lowdown on the series and also on me...
I’ve been writing paranormal romance for seven years now, and have been independently publishing my stories for the past four. I have written all of the big species, and while I love vampires and werewolves, and witches, sometimes a writer needs a change and a new challenge. Angels were that challenge for me. They were my chance to see if feathers could be just as sexy as fangs.
Two out of the three angels involved in my Her Angel series so far aren’t fallen. They’re still working for the big man upstairs, and even the one who is fallen is trying to prove his innocence and get back in. I do like the idea of the lost soul type angel, but it isn’t complicated enough for me. I like my love to be really forbidden, and there’s nothing more forbidden than an angel falling for a mortal... unless you count an angel falling in love with a demon... which happens in Her Warrior Angel.
There are many different ranks of angels in the Her Angel series, all of them with different responsibilities, but while that makes all of the angels quite different, they have plenty in common too. They’re just like any other man in some respects, and the moment a woman they’re falling for discovers they’re an angel, something that should be saintly and asexual, they set out to prove that they’re anything but that and that it isn’t a sin for them to be together.
There is definitely something all of the angels in the Her Angel series have in common and that’s their loyalty to their duties. The stories explore how that loyalty can cause conflict within them, leaving them torn between it and the heroine. The only true way for them to be with the heroine is to surrender their wings and immortality, and that’s a tough decision for an angel to make, especially when they love flying so much. The series focuses on the sacrifice that the hero might have to make in order to win the heroine’s heart and love, as well as the great trials that the heroine might face to save her hero the pain of having to give up his immortality.
It’s one of the ultimate forbidden loves in my eyes. An angel and a mortal (or worse, a demon). Two very separate worlds with very different rules. Love has a way of overlooking such things though and teaching us to look beyond what people tell us to see, to what we feel in our hearts, and that’s what the series is all about.
I’ll introduce you to some of the angels now, starting with the very sexy Apollyon in Her Dark Angel.
