One thing I like about the month of January is the anticipation of a new year of stories. It's a nice to look ahead to scheduled projects. Even though I have outlines and some first drafts already completed, nothing ever goes exactly as planned. The surprises are often something to look forward to because they usually bring forth new characters and ideas that become next year's projects.
For instance last year I wrote the Mate Marks series. From that I have a new series coming up called Prowleryns. This series involves the cat shifters introduced in Mate Marks: Hunger. Also in 2010 I have two other series coming out. In February the first Double Time story will be released. Double Time: Puppies Bite and Rock and a Hard Place take place in the Silver Iris Galaxy. Two women are transported to the planet Amazurn where they fall in love with handsome alien twins. Later in 2010 I'm heading to Las Vegas with a GLBT vampire series called Bloody or Nothing. The series begins with Sudsy, about the sexy, ass-kicking drag queen who gave The Elixir Maidens their killer look. Sudsy Waters owns the hotel Bloody or Nothing. When he's not discovering new talent, he's fighting crime. The series continues with Bottoms Up, a menage involving two gorgeous vampire warriors and a mortal woman who is more than ready to take on the supernatural.
I'm looking forward to working on new stories in 2010 and reading lots of new books as well as catching up on my to be read pile.
Readers and writers, what's next for you? What are you looking forward to reading or writing in 2010?
