In previous years, from December 1st to Christmas Day, I would be on a book buying hiatus. I love, love, love to read so many of my friends and family give me books for the holidays. I would tell them to give me any romance novel released in December. That meant I would have to resist all those shiny new titles for a month.
Because I use romance novels as a stress release, this would add a bit more tension to an already crazy month. I couldn't, after a head banging day at work, walk into a bookstore, reach for the first cover that caught my eye, and escape. It was not allowed (so says my book buying buddies).
All that has changed with eBooks.
I haven't yet received any eBooks for the holidays. I guess they aren't as fun to unwrap. They don't fill up that space underneath the tree. I can't shake the brightly wrapped rectangle and wonder what I've received.
So I have now tweaked my book buying ban. I cannot buy any print book in December. I CAN buy eBook only releases. Yes! Yes! Yes! Suddenly this happy season got a tad bit happier. You know how many yummy romances have released this month in eBook format? Too many even for me to read!
Do you have some books on your holiday wish list? Which ones? Are you buying some romances for loved ones?
Until January 15th only, Bumped, Kimber Chin's Christmas Romance, is available free. For more details, go to http://businessromance.com/ .

I give up book buying during each Lent... it's the hardest six weeks in my life. By the end, my online cart is overflowing!
Thanks,
Tracey D
Tracey, you are my hero.
I don't know if I could give up book buying for SIX WEEKS.
Yowsers, 25 days is challenging enough.
